South Central ECIP is a nonprofit organization with charitable designation. Our primary funding for operations is in the form of a grant provided by the provincial government through the Ministry of Education. This grant is meant to cover our basic operating costs such as rent, bills, wages and other overhead.
However, as is the case with many nonprofit organizations, the amount of the grant is not sufficient enough to cover the full costs. Nor does the grant allow for purchase of the toys, resources, and specialized equipment that we use daily in providing programming to the children on our caseload to help them meet their developmental goals and maximum potential. Hence South Central ECIP is continually doing fundraising and seeking sponsorship.
